# Video Files

Video recordings were taken each month from 6 to 17 months.

Videos are close to one hour in length.

There is no video recording for child 22 at 9 months (22\_09), so there are 527 videos (one less than 44 subjects \* 12 months = 528).

Videos were taken using[ Looxcie brand wearable cameras ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Looxcie)(about the size of a USB flash drive) and a [Sony camcorder ](https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Recording-HDRCX405-Handycam-Camcorder/dp/B00RK7ODDG/ref=sr_1_16?crid=1SO782NQRI65E\&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.yTQg9HVjYmicZr-Bn2So3gZkwWV008LJro-TGOtt0mhAD_uVsRA221ATosFzZk3Cy5AykpqYHJ06mY4IjEOo9PCRAJRZEb1pOg8sgu_LbJfQTEtlEZXIPTOiBvwjRc7V6w8g2InyoU9VC1aobiSruKFHAg6nC424WJyVGxxKK8s4LDzGtRMCfDgzDpdGFapZIpiexCgV32t6G_DBfazYEPsKbTD4kk2QRVhcI8r9qFI.2ieQy3viqKTvQN0oC3qBu3UCV3guVVoAB32qKMVuz-s\&dib_tag=se\&keywords=sony+camcorder\&qid=1726686119\&sprefix=sony+camcorder%2Caps%2C86\&sr=8-16)mounted on a tripod.

An effort was made to have each target infant wear a hat with two Looxcie cameras attached, one pointed slightly upward and one pointed slightly downward (to capture the infant's field of vision). In some cases, infants were not cooperative about wearing the hats and not touching the cameras, and in some cases, the cameras were bumped such that they stopped recording. For infants who refused to wear the head cameras, parents were asked to wear a camera on a headband to try to capture an up-close view of the infant's attention and gaze. The tripod camera recorded a broader view of the room that the infant was in, providing further context for what the infant could and couldn't see, and what they were attending to. Caregivers were instructed to try to stay in the area that the tripod camera was set up in, as much as possible, and to move the tripod with them if they needed to switch locations before the one-hour recording session was over.
